The best thing about Jordan is surprisingly easy for me to identify. Although he had many great qualities there was one that stood out above the rest. It was his amazing ability for connecting people together. Even this week as I tried to talk with the people that knew him to relay the bad news, I realized how many friends I have because of him and how many great relationships I have built because Jordan once said "Hey man you have to meet my friend so and so" and the rest is history. Even one of my best friends who I spend more time with than my brothers, Bubba (aka Richard) and I met through Jordan's innate networking skills. The two of them were unseparable through our college years and together we had some wonderful times, some of which I probably shouldnt share with everyone, but that helped define who we were. I am glad to see that professionally he was able to utilize the god-given ability to connect people together, who through their mutual interactions with Jordan were able to improve the circumstances in their lives one way or another. I am sure that many families across the world have been blessed to receive an exchange student and those students have gained experiences worth a lifetime. Similalry, I have gained experiences and memories that I will hang onto until my soul decides to rest and I have gained a group of amazing friends who I will cherish for until that time comes and I have Jordan to thank for that. I would encourage all of you to sit back and think about how many of your friends are your friends because of Jordan and how much you can appreciate them even more now that the one who introduced us is no longer with us. Thanks Bubs and Autumn for helping me to do the same. I love you Jordan.

One of my fondest memories of Jordan was in the winter or 2003 when I had the privilege of meeting his father when the two of them and Josey came to Utah for an epic powder season. We went to Snowbasin where I taught lessons and knew every inch of the mountain. After an afternoon of riding knee deep powder and feeling the burn from not being in quite good enough shape to do so (other than Roark), Jordan wanted some more (of course) so we hiked to an amazing backcountry run where noone had ventured yet because of the great in boundary conditions. The thing I will remember the most is through the most beautiful section of untouched snow as the sun made the small crystals in the air glisten, I could hear Jordan expressing his thanks to the Earth by the way that he was yelling, cheering, and laughing all at the same time while we enjoyed the best of what the winter had to offer that year. He was great at not holding back how much he enjoyed life and for a brief minute I watched him take it all in with his Dad and good friends next to him to enjoy it with him. Thanks Jordan, Roark, and Josey for that day and the fun we had later that night too. I will never forget it.

I love you Nagler and I will miss you!

Jordan was a great friend and teacher to me. I met Jordan in 2004when I started working at SMG. He was actually one of the first people to interview me. Over the years, the lessons he taught me and the laughs he provided became extremly valuable to me. There are many memories that I will hold dear to me and hope that here at SMG we can continue his legacy of hard work and dedication. His ability to connect with people of different ages, different cultures and backgrounds was amazing.
Occasionally, we would end up sitting next to each other at meetings and he would lean over and make such hilarious comments that I would have to pretend to cough to hide my laughter. Jordan had a way of being extremly professional but at the same time letting you know he was here to have a good time.
Alittle over a year ago, I changed positions in SMG and found Jordan to be a great help to me. There would be times when I didn't know if I made the right decision changing positions and would walk into his office and he would either tell me a story about a midget to make me laugh or give me the advice I needed to get through the work day.
Today, I laughed as I remembered a classic Jordan moment. About a month ago I was in a meeting with Jordan and asked a question that was so ridiculous that the two other people in meeting didn't even know how to answer it, so they looked to Jordan in hopes he could explain...He paused and began a 15 minute explanation outlining the basic concepts of what we do here. In the midst of his answer, I realized that I had a total "blonde" moment and we all just burst into laughter. It is those moments that I will truly cherish.

Knowing him made me a better person here at SMG and I will always be thankful to him for that.

I hope you are enjoying cupcakes, midgets and stolen bikes...

Missing you- Diana
